We have two nicely decorated guestrooms in the quinta. Both rooms have two comfortable single box spring beds 90 x 200 cms. Each room provides for a max. 2 persons and both rooms have their own private en-suite bathrooms (toilet, hand basin, shower and hair dryer) and are located on the first floor. The rooms overlook the vineyards and, because of their thick walls, are always cool in the summertime.

Amongst the vineyards we have two luxury furnished Glamping tents raised on platforms. The inner tent is 45m2 and each tent can accommodate a max. 4 persons. Inside, both tents have their own private bathroom with hot shower, ceramic wash basin and porcelain toilet. For extra comfort the tents are provided with thick, soft, luxurious bath towels, fluffy bathrobes, slippers, and a hairdryer. Pamper yourself with a complimentary gift pack of the brand "Rituals" with luxury shower products for the ultimate relaxation. Two comfortable single boxspring beds 90 x 200 cms with chic bed linen and lush, cosy summer duvet covers. Also a comfortable sleeping couch for 2 persons. Completed with a sitting area, a minibar and a Nespresso Coffee Machine. The tents provide a lot of privacy and have their own private terrace with a table and chairs for romantic evenings.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is 15 x 4 mtrs. and is beautifully located between the vineyards. Around the pool you will find a sunny terrace with several deck chairs with areas for sun and shade, a rowing machine and a spinning bike to workout. Pool towels are provided.

The pool house has a shower and a toilet, a bar and a dining area for enjoying a drink and a meal. The pool depth runs from 1.20 mtrs. upto 1.80 mtrs. We'd like to point out that children are welcome but the shallow part of the pool has no separation from the deeper part and the pool is unattended.

Our surroundings

Cumieira is a small village named after the quinta in earlier days. Just outside our gate you will find a small grocery and two cafe's. Cumieira belongs to the municipality of Cabeceiras de Basto where you will find shops, restaurants, bakeries, banks, pharmacy etc. On Mondays there is a market in the town. Cabeceiras de Basto has a beautiful baroque church named Mosteiro S. Miguel de Refojos of which the construction started in the 12th century. The village of Cabeceiras de Basto is a 10 minutes drive from our quinta.

Our quinta is terraced and sits right in the middle of our land of 7.5 acres in the Minho, the Northern part of Portugal, well known for it's micro-climate and famous for its unique wine called Vinho Verde. We are surrounded by mountains, Serra da Cabreira, the river Peio for troutfishing, fruit and nut trees, olive trees and vineyards. Here you will experience peace and relaxation. Scattered around the terraces and land we have established some cosy corners for you to enjoy the surroundings. What about relaxing with a book on the riverside or a walk on the land?

By car you can make great tours through the mountainous countryside or daytrips to Spain or the Serra de Estrella, the winter sport area of Portugal. The unspoiled sandy coast of Vila do Conde is only 50 minutes away.
